Sue Me

Nobody changes really.

Through middle school we were weaklings. Just bait in the lake for the big fish to eat. Growing into high school we become stronger, taller and more mature.

Physically, we've outgrown the titles of kids and pupils. We're planted with titles of teenagers and students.

But maturity really doesn't come when you age or change statuses at school. It's different for everyone.

Although our mindset is more clear and we can think for ourselves, nobody really changes child like wise.

There's always a part of everyone that's immature and stupid.

A part where coming late to class is considered cool. Where the suffocating air of pressure makes us want to turn back to the first day of kindergarten when crayons used to be the coolest shit around and playing tag was like Twitter. The giggles with friends over idiot comments and things we used to find so funny now looks plain lame.

Going out with friends and seeing middle schoolers all dressed up and giggling like idiots in love, thinking 'woah so lame'. Not really accepting the fact that we used to be like them. The adventure of outings and movies and just being out of school. With friends.

Growing over the years, I've always thought by the time I reached high school I'll be mature and disciplined. But nah. It never got to me.

It takes time to be an adult. But the kid inside us never dies. It's just playing hide and seek, waiting for the time we finally find it.
